Information:
An applicant for the scholarship may be invited to appear for
interview with the Selection Committee. Failure to appear, if
invited, will be considered withdrawal from the selection process.
It will be the responsibility of the scholar to keep the Selection
Committee informed of progress. Transcript of grades is to be
forwarded annually to the committee when issued. Failure to
comply may result in suspension or forfeiture of the scholarship.
The Selection Committee reserves the right to recommend that
the Trustees of the scholarship discontinue the award if the
scholar becomes involved in any activity which places the prestige
of the scholarship in jeopardy, or if the scholar fails to maintain
a satisfactory level of academic achievement.
The scholar recognises that the scholarship is awarded expressly
for pursuit of the academic programme proposed in the scholar’s
application. To change that programme without obtaining the
written consent of the Trustees constitutes improper use of
the scholarship funds and forfeiture of the scholarship. The
Trustees will withhold consent if they consider that the changed
programme is not relevant to information technology.
The scholar undertakes as a term of his/her application, both
during and after tenure of the scholarship, to assist the Trustees
and the Selection Committee to promote awareness in the community
of the opportunities for careers for young Bermudians in the
information technology industry.
If an applicant wishes consideration to be given to financial
need, then that applicant should complete financial information
forms available from the Selection Committee.
